Arthur.K

Golden Fortune Rat

In Japan, the character "鼠" for "rat" can also be written as the character "子". "子" has been known as the messenger of Daikokuten, one of the Seven Lucky Gods, since ancient times. Rats are known for their strong reproductive abilities, swift and agile movements, symbolizing prosperity in descendants and cleverness. Because of the positive connotation of "子", many shrines in Kyoto and Osaka have stone statues of rats called "koma-nezumi".

The Fortune Rat is based on the stone rat enshrined at the Osaka Fushimi Matsunomiya Okuninushi Shrine. It continues to uphold Arthur.K's craftsmanship, being meticulously hand-crafted and polished.
